Ben Roethlisberger

First round draft pick (No. 11 overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers from the Miami University (Ohio), Roethlisberger set an NFL record by going 13-0 as a rookie starter.

"Big Ben", as he is often referred to because of his size, was also named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2004, and led the Steelers to the AFC Championship game in that same year. Roethlisberger opted out of his senior season at Miami to enter the NFL Draft, and most experts agree that was the right call, as he, unlike many other rookie quarterbacks, was ready to lead his team to his playoffs in just his first year out of college.

In just his second season, Ben led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a victory in Super Bowl XL. He is the first quarterback since the 1970 NFL merger to make the championship game each of his first two years.

Was a three-year starter at Miami University (Ohio)...re-wrote virtually every school passing record in just 38 games...completed 854-of-1,304 passes (65.5%) for 10,829 yards, 84 touchdowns and 34 interceptions.
